In a world that is constantly telling us what our definition of beauty should be, it can be difficult to love what you see when you look at yourself in the mirror. It’s time to break away from society’s definition of beauty, and start loving the woman in the mirror.

Too short, too smart, too confident, too dark, too fat, or too introverted; the list goes on and on. No matter how you choose to look at it, we’ll always be too much of one thing or not enough of something else. We get so caught up in looking ahead at where we would like to be in life, or the type of woman we would like to become, that we stunt our own growth by forgetting to embrace exactly who we are at the moment and how far we’ve already come.

You were made exactly how you were supposed to be. The sooner we stop comparing ourselves to each other and the people we see on TV, the better. Everyone is a little self-conscious about something, which is completely normal, but wanting to change your unique features, personality traits, and attributes changes who you are. If you do that, then who will you be?

Try not to be your own worst critic! Loving yourself will lead to a happier and healthier life. Be comfortable in your own skin and learn how to like the person you are. Nobody is perfect, but when you promote and project how you want to feel; you become those things.
