Say Yes

Saying no to others, does not automatically improve your life. Don’t be a pushover and get taken advantage of this year. But do say yes to exploring new things. Ask for more roles at work, work your way up to that promotion you feel you deserve. Tell that guy you’ve been crushing on for years how you feel. Go back to school; you’ve been wanting to for way too long. Say yes to all of the things you haven’t been sure about and take a leap of faith. While pursuing things in your life, you won’t have time for the things in it that have been draining you.

Repeating Relationships

If you can be honest with yourself, you can’t hide the fact that your last three relationships or lack thereof, started off the same and instead of walking away you wanted to see if they would have a different outcome. Take time out this year to let things go as soon as you need to and not hold on in hopes that the outcome will be different. You will only be wasting your time and building more resentment.

Turn that Frown Upside Down

It’s easy to stay down when you feel like things just can’t seem to go your way. This year, don’t dwell on the fact that things didn’t work out the way you planned. Make mental notes of shortcomings and begin again. The hardest part is starting. Don’t make it more difficult by wallowing in what you view as a failure.

As cliché as it may sound, your happiness is in your hands. No amount of love, success or victories will make or keep you happy, if your views on situations don’t change. End the bad habit of viewing the glass as half empty this year!
