Some of us are so busy checking our favorite apps and websites nowadays that we forget our cell phones can actually make calls. Lucky for you single ladies, you have the advantage of enjoying social media freedom. You get to post what you want, when you want, without worrying what your man will say about it.

You also don’t have everybody watching the details of your relationship, whether good or bad. As annoying as those super cheesy, lovey dovey posts can be, it’s only natural to want to share our happiness with our friends. Unfortunately, it’s also become natural to use social media as an outlet for complaining about heartache. Even the most subtle or subliminal statuses can hint to everyone that there’s trouble in paradise. So at least you’re not boring your friends with those cliché or depressing updates.

As seen in the media, technology is also often used to conduct some shady behavior. When you’re single, you don’t have to stress about that one girl who keeps liking your man’s photos or why his other profile is set to private mode. Being unattached in today’s world allows you to keep your name out of the latest nasty scandals.

Go ahead and celebrate your independence the same way you’d strut in a sexy, new pair of heels. Boyfriends are like accessories; They complement the overall effect but you’re just fine without them. The next time your girlfriend complains about her man problems, take a moment to appreciate the fact that not having a man equals not having man problems.
