Over the past few years, celebrity make up trends have become quite popular with average women. Most are seeking beauty enhancement, while others are chasing the full illusion. Some women are going so far as to paint an entirely new face each day.

While many are doing it for their own personal beauty preferences, others are doing it all in the pursuit of a man. So we wondered what do men really think about their women and make up. Is a perfectly beat face important to them or does natural beauty reign supreme?

We took to Facebook to ask the question and were pleasantly surprised at the number of men interested in the conversation. Check out what they had to say below.

Kore, 36 from Hollis, New York is a married man who says, “I love the eye shadow tones and the way they are fleeking out the eyebrows too.  However, the cake face look is not necessary.”

Rahj, a 46 year old dater from New York City had this to say, “Everyone isn’t naturally beautiful in my opinion. Maybe they are on the inside, but a lot of men aren’t going to take out the time to find out about that. So women should do whatever works for them.”

Carlos, 30 from North Carolina doesn’t mind a little make up, “A splash here or there every once in a while, but not the whole Barbie doll cake face.”

It seems safe to say that the cake face is a no-go. Nearly half of the men surveyed mentioned it in their response and exhibited some level of contempt for it. Overall, the consensus was balanced. Men prefer natural beauty but don’t mind a little enhancement, as long as it resembles your actual face.

Ultimately, how you present yourself is up to you. Do what feels right. Just remember that even the most attractive people are flawed. Each of us is perfectly imperfect and that’s part of what makes us all beautiful.
