We tend to be our worst critic. All the “congratulations” in the world mean nothing if you don’t include yourself in the celebration. Why be so hard on yourself? Why is it that you are unable to recognize when you have executed something flawlessly? Today is a new day, it’s now time to start loving you and all that you do!

The easiest thing in the world is to point out where you could have done something differently here or there, to make whatever you’ve done better. How about changing your focus? Instead of nit-picking over every single part of the work you have completed, pat yourself on the back for completing the task. Bask in the joy of knowing that you set out to accomplish something and you did! Remember that the things you do may not seem like that big of a deal to you, but given the opportunity, many others would not have been able to accomplish what you have accomplished.
Self-love goes beyond seeing yourself as perfect just the way you are. Self-love embodies feeling great about each task, no matter how great or small. We must learn how to congratulate ourselves in order to be successful. There is a misconception that being hard on yourself will make you better. This is not necessarily true. We are in need of encouragement to have the willpower to move forward. Sometimes, the best encouragement can come from no one other than you.
Let’s raise our glasses to ourselves and say, “I did a great job. I can’t wait to see what I will do next!”
